What present evidence in your life makes you believe you're a Christian?

I have a born again music, friends, books, and movies. Even my cloths is about god. God has humbled me before my parents bringing peace in my home for the first time. All my activities besides school and work have to do with church and kingdom building. The papers I write and art I do for school is about the Gospel. I do not associate with the past much.

How long have you been a true Christian?

since 2008 when I came to Jesus and he made my life great

Share Your Heart 4 Ministry and Testimony:

I grew up in a white middle class family (Im white) with two parents in a suburb right outside Minneapolis. I was always wanting to relate to people my mom was so passionate about in her diversity work. I hung out with the most diversrse, hip hop crowd I could find. I did not pick the most responsible people, and was not prepared with Jesus to be a positive influence. Rather I found other people who were rebellious, and I influenced people in rebellious behavior. My parents did not know what to do with me getting in fights, stealing, cutting, eating disorder, terrible attitude. When I started failing and got fired for spitting in someones sandwich I got sent to a lock down boarding school for my senior year. It broke me down, pride and self esteem. I had lost the attitude, but some how my past followed me to collage. I got in fights, was selling drugs and having alot of sex. Allot of friends seem to find comfort in some dysfunctional relationships, and eventually so did I. I have been punched in the face and raped by men. After getting a restraining order on the last boy I decided to really open up in counseling and bear my soul. Even though the women was not a Christian she asked me when I was the most happy. I realized I was most happy and had the most innocent safe fun with my friend Angela (my Angel) who brought me to church and came from a family of believers. Her relationship with Jesus was subtle but ever present and kept her out of trouble as the rest of our lives deteriorated under worldly pressures. I wanted to find people like her. I realized this but was still stuck in a pointless life of drinking and hooking up with men and shallow relationships. I was alone as I went to see a local minneapolis Rapper NickNamed White Jesus. I decided to stop in a Christian music Cafe instead. By the grace of God I got connected to a girl named Merridith. She brought me to church at the U. My heart began to melt upon hearing the Word of god. Since I was made in his image and he forgave me I realized I could forgive other people. This is still by fare the greatest gift since I was such a grudge holder!!! I am still growing in this. I changed the way I react to my family and for the first time me and my parents are growing in a trusting and loving relationship. I started writing music a rap wanting to hear a more hopeful message. I started singing for the first time as well. I am working on making a CD to reach out to the Strippers around Minneapolis. I have stated a bible study in North Minneapolis (the hood). I have given my passion for diverse people to god and am looking forward to see what he does with that. I have been making art my whole life, I messed with alot of witchcraft before and did art about confusion. Now I have giving my art to god and testify in every piece. I am so happy I have found his peace. I have a vision- that Sex World in Minneapolis will become a praise and worship house where we are making amazing christian art in every way. I am excited to see our whole city change by the power of god.

Why do you want to join the CFRN?

I want to join the CFRN because I am so passionate about minority women getting their voice heard and being encouraged. But I expect quality fellowship out of this network for my self as well. I don't want fellowship with oppressed people, but with the conquerors you are in christ!! I will not be getting drained, I want to be filled here! I would like to pray with people about the purification of Hip-Hop and the eliminating of racism. As Jesus said we would love our brethren as our selves. I want to pray against classism, as he said we are to share resources. And I expect to share some resources for ministry. I expect to talk about music, do some collaboration when I have time between school and work. I want to pray against the attack on female sexuality! I want some impute for the stripper out reach CD Im working on. I expect kind and edifying words, I expect people who believe in me and each other, but are also honest and keep it real with our own limits. Mainly praying with you ladies. Prayer and Jesus centered relationships is Key. Love is why I joined. To find my Angela's within the CFRN.

If an unbeliever wanted to know more about receiving salvation, how would you lead them to Jesus Christ, and what verses would you provide?

John 3:3 says: I tell you the Truth, Unless you are born again, you cannot be in gods kingdom. John 14:6 Says: I am the way, the truth and the life. The only way to the Father is through me. I would ask them if they believe Jesus is gods son and he died for their sins and if they want to start a new life with them. Then I would tell them to get some christian friends fast because without fellowship we will fall! We were meant to be one body.
