Beloved reader, early in 2010 Grace Christian Fellowship will have a distinct Friday evening service. For many years, God has been preparing us (Walter, LaMont, Octavia, Frank, and others) to church plant. Our unique name, Love by Example (LBE) comes from the heart of God rooted in LaMont’s heart. 1 Corinthians 11:1
LBE is dedicated to follow Christ’s teaching of love, resulting in spiritual birth coupled with transformed lives for God’s glory. With spiritual eyes we’ll watch and pray to help people, especially the youth, to stand for truth in our changing world. We desire to be a haven of His love in times like these.
This past Hebrew month of Elul (August), the blowing of the Shofar (a Biblical ram’s horn trumpet) unexpectedly took place in Grace’s sanctuary. That sounding call continues to awaken my inner life with LBE.
In the Holy Word, two passages speak of the Lord Himself blowing the Shofar before revealing His glory! (Exodus 19:16-19 and 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17) Surprisingly, again in October the Grace/LBE staff was visited by the Shofar blower.
This time he wiped our shoes with a blessing cloth, which encouraged me to continue to walk inside out by faith, not by sight, in Him. 2 Corinthians. 5:7.
LBE will continue to pray to the LORD of the harvest, to send more help to advance His kingdom while anticipating our Yeshua’s glorious, return will you join us?
